February
12, 2004: An Evening of Art and Women's Networking
A
trio of Ottawa professional women hosted a lively evening
of networking and nibbling at Valorie’s Loretta Street
studio. The goal of hosts Naomi Morisawa De Koven (Milton,
Geller LLP, Business & Intellectual Property Law), Susan
St. Amand (Sirius Financial Services) and tax lawyer Susan
G. Tataryn (Susan G. Tataryn Professional Corporation) was
to expand their business contacts. But the process was just
as key: to make it casual, classy and entertaining. The backdrop
of Valorie’s artwork, including her latest creations
from Costa Rica, got many conversations started. A worktable
became a Cosmpolitan bar and an array of exquisite food was
prepared and served by the only man in sight, Patrick Riley
of Edible Impressions Catering. Among the many special guests
was Toronto interior designer Anita
Wiklem. By all accounts, the evening was a success!
